Gardening with Susan

On a beautiful spring day this week, Susan came down to Ahuriri at lunch time and started to plant some vegetable seedlings in the garden next to our sandpit. Susan talked with the children about how to identify each seedling and then they got started! Check out our lunch time gardening!

We're Going on a Bear Hunt

Wednesday is our library day, but this week it wasn't an ordinary library day! It was the 30th anniversary of the story "We're Going on a Bear Hunt". 

Mr McCallum had some special activities ready for us, then we did some writing about it. Have a look at what we got up to!

Process art with Gemma

This morning Gemma set up some brown paper and paint on the floor of the creative room. The children took of their shoes and got creative!!



This is called Process Art. Process Art is where the focus is placed on the ‘process’ of creating rather than the end product.

PMP

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays we do PMP in the hall.

PMP stands for Perceptual Motor Programme. PMP is a programme that includes facets of PE, gymnastics, music, fitness and dance to develop children's perceptions and mental capacities.
